SC Appoints Retired Judge To Monitor Lakhimpur Kheri Violence
The Supreme Court on November 15 suggested the UP government on appointing a retired judge to monitor the state SIT probe into the Lakhimpur Kheri incident. Reportedly, eight lives were lost, including four farmers, who were allegedly mowed down by an SUV belonging to Union Minister Ajay Mishra's son, Ashish Mishra. SC will also announce the name of the retired judge, along with some IPS officers on November 17.
