Fernandez, Anisimova Advance To Round 4; Muchova Retires With Ankle Injury: French Open

Leylah Fernandez of Canada advanced to the fourth round of the French Open 2022 after defeating No.14 player Belinda Bencic on May 27 at Court Philippe Chatrier. No.27 Amanda Anisimova qualified for the fourth round after Karolina Muchova retired from the match due to an ankle ailment. After the medical intermission, Muchova conceded seven consecutive games before quitting the match.

British Teen Emma Raducanu New US Open Champion: Wimbledon

British teen player Emma Raducanu clinched the US Open title at Wimbledon by defeating Canadian Leylah Fernandez in the set of 6-4, 6-3 on Sept 11. Her victory at Wimbledon is to raise her ranking from 345th to top 25 tennis players. On her victory, Emma expressed her overwhelming emotions and said, "I thought Wimbledon was an incredible experience. All rounds, great achievement... but I was still hungry".
