Self-styled godman Aasaram Bapu has been sentenced to life imprisonment in the 2013 Rape Case. On January 31, Gandhinagar Court in Gujarat announced the verdict, a day after he was convicted in the rape case. Notably, a disciple of Asaram Bapu approached the police and registered a case against him, based on his statement, the self-styled godman was convicted.The so-called spiritual leader was booked under sections of IPC.
