Lyricist Sirivennela Sastry

Telugu lyricist Sirivennela Sastry Seetharama passed away at 66 on November 30. He was undergoing treatment for a lung cancer-related ailment at a hospital in Hyderabad. His demise was also confirmed by the hospital authorities. Sastry made his debut with 'Janani Janmabhoomi' in 1984. He got fame with the song Vidhatha Thalapuna. He also wrote lyrics for over 3,000 songs during his career, reported The Times of India.
