Ranjit Singh's Statue Destroyed In Lahore: Pakistan

Popularly known as the “Lion of Punjab”, Ranjit Singh was the first king of the Sikh Empire. London: Maharani Jindan Kaur's Jewels Auctioned At 62,500 Pounds

In an auction in London, jewels of Maharani Jindan Kaur secured a bid of over 62,500 pounds. Kaur was the wife of Maharaja Ranjit Singh, the last ruler of the Sikh Empire. The jewels involved a forehead pendant, a gold roundel, and a pearl mounted gold pendant. Speaking about the jewellery, the organizers said that after Ranjit Singh's death, British forced Kaur to surrender and confiscated around 600 jewels were from the treasury.
