WHO Approves World's First RTS,S Vaccine Against Parasitic Diseases
WHO authorised the world's first vaccine against any parasitic diseases on October 6, bringing three decades of scientific work to completion. GlaxoSmithKline produced RTS,S (brand name Mosquirix), which substantially decreases the risk of severe illness in malaria-infected children.
