In honour to Indian cinema, the Malayalam survival drama 2018: Everyone is a Hero has been chosen as India's official entry to the Oscars 2024. The film was sent in the Best Foreign Language Film category at the 96th Academy Awards. The film is the fourth film from the language. Directed by Jude Anthany Joseph, 2018 is based on the unprecedented rains and flood that hit Kerala in 2018.
