Last French queen Marie Antoinette's Silk Shoe Auctioned For $51,780
A shoe once possessed by Marie Antoinette, the last queen of France was auctioned for $51,780.The auction was held at Osenat Auction house in Versailles, Paris. Bidders stated that it was a heeled white shoe of 22.5 centimeter- long made of silk and goat leather, decorated with ribbons. The shoe was held on for generations by Marie-Emilie Leschevin's family, a friend of the queen’s chambermaid.

Antique Mirror Belonging To Last French Queen Found In A Bathroom
An antique mirror belonging to the last French Queen, Marie Antoinette, was found hanging in a house for the last 40 years. As reported by the Daily Mail, the mirror was once a display in Marie's palace. It will be auctioned on November 13 in Bristol, U.K., and is valued at around $13,000. "Never really thought it to be worth anything," said the auctioneer Andrew Stowe.
