Congress Youth Leader Spends 8-Months In Saudi Arabia Jail, Picture Surfaces Online
A youth Congress leader, Raza Qadri (27), president of Niwari Youth Congress from Madhya Pradesh--who went on a pilgrimage to Mecca, had to spend eight months in Saudi Arabia's jail and was fed only two breads twice a day. He was punished with 99 lashes. All this, only because he got himself clicked-- holding a poster of 'Bharat Jodo Yatra', in front of the Haram Mosque in Mecca.

Kerala Man Walks 8,640 Km To Perform Hajj In Mecca
In the devition of doing Mecca, a Kerala man walked for miles and completed his Mecca journey in a year. Shihab Chottur started his journey, which spanned 8,640 km, took him through Pakistan, Iran, Iraq, Kuwait, and finally Saudi Arabia and completed the journey on foot. After entering Saudi Arabia, Shihab went to Medina, an important Islamic pilgrimage site. He spent 21 days in Medina before he left for Mecca.

Saudi Arabia Reopens Mecca On October 4 For Umrah Pilgrimage
Islam's holy place Mecca has been reopened on October 4 for the umrah pilgrimage. The re-opening has been scheduled in three phases. In the first phase, starting October 4, umrah will take place in a specified period of time. Besides, only 6,000 citizens, residing within the kingdom, are allowed to take part in phase-1. The worshippers will need to perform the ritual of circling the sacred Kaaba maintaining social distancing.
