International Yoga Day 2021: Govt Celebrates At 75 Different Heritage Sites In India
On the occasion of International Yoga Day, the Ministry of Culture intends to celebrate at 75 different cultural heritage sites all around the country. A 45-minutes Yoga session, followed by a 30-minute cultural program has been organized by the government & a performance by the award winner at Sangeet Natak Akademi or Zonal Cultural Centres. However, amid the pandemic, only 20 people will be allowed per site at the session.

UNESCO World Heritage Sites' Tentative List Adds 6 Indian Locations
The culture ministry on May 19 announced that six of the nine proposed Indian places submitted to UNESCO were added to the tentative list of UNESCO World Heritage Sites. The locations are: Satpura Tiger Reserve, ganga ghats in Varanasi, Megalithic site of Hire Benkal, Maratha Military Architecture (Maharashtra), Bhedaghat-Lametaghat in Narmada Valley- Jabalpur and Temples of Kanchipuram. ASI Plans To Launch Digital Repository Of Ancient Indian Monuments
The Archaeological Survey of India (ASI) is all set to start working on a central repository system in January 2021. The system will store all 'authentic' information about lesser-known monuments and ancient sites in different states throughout the country.
