Sri Lanka's Public Security Minister Sarath Weerasekara has announced the country's plans to ban burqas and almost 1000 Madrassas. Maharashtra Woman Accuses Husband Of Giving Triple Talaq Over Phone
In yet another case of triple talaq over a phone call, a 31-year-old woman has filed a police complaint against her husband in Ahmednagar district of Maharashtra. According to police, the woman was called by her husband on November 20 and was asked to end their relationship. Reportedly, the 32-year-old man has been booked under the sections of Muslim Women (Protection of Rights on Marriage) Act, 2019.

New Zealand Police Inducts Hijab In Official Uniform For "Inclusive" Service
To ensure participation of women from Muslim community, the New Zealand police have introduced hijab in their official uniform. Zeena Ali, 30, who was recently recruited as constable, would become the first officer to wear the newly inducted uniform.
