23 Indian Sailors Stuck At Chinese Port Return To India

After a tumultuous seven-month gap, 23 Indian sailors aboard MV Jag Anand, who were stuck in Chinese waters arrived at the Cochin airport on January 20. Due to COVID-19 restrictions, the Chinese authorities had prohibited the seafarers from docking or changing the crew. After several trials, India's two seamen's unions - National Union of Seafarers of India (NUSI) and Maritime Union of India (MUI) successfully brought the sailors home.
