In a major mishap, a truck rammed into a double-decker bus in UP's Barabanki on July 28, killing 18 men and leaving 25 injured. Reportedly, the bus consisting of 140 laborers was traveling to Bihar from Ludhiana, however, was parked on the highway following a breakdown. PM Modi announced an ex-gratia of Rs 2 lakh to all the deceased families and Rs 50,000 to the Injured ones.
