Sports Minister Introduces Anti-Doping Bill In Lok Sabha
Sports Minister Anurag Thakur introduced a bill in Lok Sabha to tackle drug abuse in Indian sports on December 17. The bill demands a statutory framework for the operation of the National Anti-Doping Agency (NADA). It also seeks to provide a statutory framework for the National Dope Testing Laboratory (NDTL), which is facing a ban by the World Anti-Doping Agency (WADA) due to the lack of technical requirements.

Sports Minister Launches Reference Material For Anti-Dope Testing
Sports Minister Kiren Rijiju on January 29 launched a "breakthrough" Reference Material for facilitating chemical testing in the anti-doping domain.
