North Korea Has About 17,400 New Covid-19 Cases, Total Number Is 520,000

According to the KCNA news agency report of May 14, North Korea has about 17,400 new Covid-19 cases of unidentified fever with 21 new fatalities. The total number of cases are 520,000. However Pyongyang is not officially recognizing the unidentified fever cases as those of Covid-19.

North Korea Reports 1st Omicron Variant Case, Announces 'Emergency'

North Korea reported country's first COVID 19 Omicron variant case on May 12. According to the KCNA, top officials and country's leader Kim Jong Un held a crisis politburo meeting to discuss regarding the Omicron outbreak and announced 'Maximum Emergency' virus control system. Areas of Pyongyang had been locked down for two days. Leader Kim Jong Un instructed all the officials to block every possibility of spreading virus.

The US Is Overreacting To Weapon Developments: North Korea

Owing to the missile tests and questioning sincerity of Washington's offer of talks, North Korea on October 21, commented over the US's reaction and accused them of operating "double standards" over weapons development.
