Congo Fever: New Virus Creates Threats, Alert Issued in Maharashtra's Palghar

On September 29, Palghar district alerted its people for Crimean Congo Hemorrhagic fever (CCHF) commonly known as "Congo Fever",  after four cases were reported in the neighbouring districts. Mumbai Jolted by 3.5 Magnitude Earthquake on September 7

The National Centre for Seismology (NCS) confirmed about an earthquake in Mumbai on September 7 morning. Around 8 AM, the city experienced a jolt of 3.5 magnitude, and the shocks were felt 102 km north of Mumbai. However, there are no reports of deaths or injuries owing to the tremors. Earlier, Palghar district had also felt low-intensity quakes on September 5.

Man Cheats Over Rs 1 Lakh from Nursery Owner in Maharashtra's Palghar

Over Rs 1 lakh was allegedly siphoned from a nursery owner's bank account in Maharashtra's Palghar. The police informed, an unidentified accused introduced himself, on phone call, as an army man and posed as a customer of mango saplings. Reportedly, the accused sent a QR code to the victim and asked him to scan it for receiving payment. However, money got deducted from the victim's bank account, said the police.
