2020 ATP Awards: Djokovic Tops Ranking; Nadal, Federer Also Honoured

Tennis ace Novak Djokovic has bagged the year-end No. 1 ranking at the 2020 ATP Awards on December 21. Djokovic earned the accolade for the sixth time, thanks to his four title wins this year including his eighth Australian Open. Meanwhile, Roger Federer won the singles 'Fans' Favorite Award' for a record 18th consecutive year. Besides, Rafael Nadal also bagged his fourth 'Stefan Edberg Sportsmanship Award'.

Tennis: Alexander Zverev Beats Rafael Nadal To Enter Paris Masters Finals

Rafael Nadal's pursuit to win the maiden Paris Masters title has come to an end as Alexander Zverev defeated the Spaniard with a score of 6-4 7-5 in the semifinals. The 23-year-old became the first German to reach the event's final in 25 years. Zverev's dominant serves and patience helped him to win despite Nadal's efforts to break the serve rhythm. He will meet Daniil Medvedev in the finals on November 8.

Star Tennis Player Rafael Nadal enters the coveted list after beating Feliciano Lopez(Spain) 4-6, 7-6(5), 6-4 at the Paris Masters, on November 4. With this victory, Nadal has now joined Jimmy Connors (1274), Roger Federer (1242) and Ivan Lendl (1068) who have more than '1000 ATP victories'.
