Kerala’s Sabrimala Temple Reopens After 7 Months Under Strict Guidelines

The Sabrimala temple in Kerala reopened on October 17, after a nearly 7-month gap for a five-day pooja. The state government released a list of strict protocols that allows only 250 devotees to visit per day with prior online registration. A COVID-19 negative report before 48 hours of visiting the shrine is mandatory along with wearing a mask at all times during the visit.
