Cloudburst In North Sikkim, 30 Missing And Search Operation Is Underway

At least 30 people were reported missing in flash floods triggered by a glacial lake outburst in north Sikkim late on October 3, night. The sudden cloudburst created havoc amongst people, in Sikkim, and the situation is likely to worsen in the region. "The exact number of people who have gone missing is still not confirmed. We are gathering details," said concerned officials. Meanwhile, a search operation is underway.

Search For Khalistani Leader Amritpal Singh Enters Day 6

The Punjab Police continued their hunt to nab Amritpal Singh, a leader of Khalistani group, for the sixth day, March 23. Notably, the Haryana and the Punjab Government is putting pressure on the state police, which failed to arrest Singh, who allegedly escaped the police. As per circulated videos and media houses, Amritpal Singh has escaped the police by changing six vehicles, including bike, car, SUV and other vehicles.

Encounter Breaks Out Between Security Forces & Militants In J&K

An encounter broke out between militants and security forces in Shopian district of Jammu and Kashmir, confirmed police on September 5, evening. Authorities Stop Search Operations After Recovering All 8 Bodies From Garra River in UP

A day after a tractor-trolley carrying 22 passengers plunged into the Garra river, officials in Hardoi, Uttar Pradesh retrieved eight remains and called off the search on August 28. 14 individuals were rescued from the river on August 27. Hardoi District Magistrate Avinash Kumar stated, "The operation has been called off. The district administration will provide an amount of ₹ 5 lakh each to the families of the victims."

Chhattisgarh Naxal Encounter: Search Underway As 21 Jawans Go Missing

Security forces in Chhattisgarh have launched a search operation to find 21 jawans who went missing after the April 3 deadly encounter. Meanwhile, seven out of the 24 injured jawans have been shifted to Raipur hospital. CRPF Director-General Kuldiep Singh has also reached Chhattisgarh to analyse the situation. Earlier, Home Minister Amit Shah talked to CM Bhupesh Baghel. Notably, the security forces had killed 15 Maoists in the encounter.
