Madhya Pradesh Tops in Organic Farming, Followed by Rajasthan and MH: CSE Survey

Madhya Pradesh recorded over 27% of land under organic cultivation, followed by Rajasthan and Maharashtra. According to a report by Centre for Science and Environment, the three states account for around half of the total organic sown area. The study suggested that despite having highly ambitious targets states have improved marginally in organic acreage. West Bengal Allows Tourism to Popular Hill Stations; Sikkim to Allow Soon

West Bengal's hill stations Kalimpong and Darjeeling have resumed tourism activities after a 6-month shutdown. The state government has permitted hotels to resume their services while adhering to the social distancing norms and maintaining hygiene. Besides, Sikkim, one of the first states in the country to ban the entry of tourists, is also set to be reopened in October. Sikkim had banned tourists since March 16, 2020.
