Sonu Sood Borrows a Loan of Rs 10 Crore To Help Poor & Needy; Mortgages 8 Property
Actor Sonu Sood raised a loan of Rs 10 crore after he mortgaged his eight Mumbai-based properties for the humanitarian aids. The mortgage was registered on November 24, which includes six flat and two shop, all in Juhu area of Mumbai. Earlier, the UNDP had honoured Sonu with SDG Special Humanitarian Action Award for helping the migrant labourers and needy during the pandemic.

Sonu Sood Pens 'I am no Messiah'; To Be Released In December
Bollywood actor Sonu Sood, who emerged as the saviour for many during the lockdown, has announced the release of his autobiography. The book, titled I am no Messiah, will be co-authored by Meena Iyer and will be published by Penguin Publications in December. The book will revolve around his experience during the pandemic and the challenges he faced in his life. Sonu further urged people to be compassionate with each other.

Sonu Sood In Collaboration With 'Indus' & 'Airtel' Installs Mobile Towers to Help Children
Bollywood actor Sonu Sood and his friend Karan Gilhotra took an initiative of 'installing a mobile tower' to help the students of Haryana's Morni village. 'Indus Towers' and 'Airtel' have collaborated together in-order to help students access internet and attend online classes. Reportedly, the approach escalated after a video went viral over the internet, 'where a child is witnessed sitting on a tree's branch for the mobile signal.'

Sonu Sood Honored With the Prestigious SDG Special Humanitarian Action Award
The United Nations Development Programme(UNDP) awarded Bollywood actor Sonu Sood, with honourable SDG Special Humanitarian Action Award, on September 28. He is also known as the "Messiah of Migrants" because of his social work during the coronavirus-pandemic situation. He received an award for helping lakhs of migrants, and students to go back to their native. The actor accepted the recognition by the UN body as a 'rare honour'.

Sonu Sood Provides Smartphones to Students of Morni Village for Online Classes
Actor Sonu Sood on August 26 arranged smartphones for students of a remote village in Morni, Haryana. The students had to travel miles to access a smartphone to attend online classes. Moved by the news, Sood arranged the delivery through his friend, Karan Gilhotra. Gilhotra delivered the phones to the Government Senior Secondary School's principal. Later, the students interacted with the actor over a video call.
