In Jammu and Kashmir, security forces arrested a hybrid terrorist in Sopore district, on September 5. J&K Police Arrest 2 Hybrid Terrorists, Foil Plans To Attack Civilians

With the arrest of two hybrid terrorists from Lashkar-e-Taiba (LeT) and The Resistance Front in J&K's Sopore, police confirmed that their plan to carry out attack on civilians has been foiled. Police seized from the possession, two pistols and magazines each and five pistol rounds. The arrest was made after two suspicious persons were asked to stop, when they tried to flee the spot.

3 Al-Badr Terrorists Held In Sopore District: Jammu And Kashmir

In Jammu and Kashmir's Sopore district, three Al-Badr terrorists have been arrested by Jammu and Kashmir police on February 12. Moreover, police have recovered arms and ammunition from the Dangiwacha area in the Sopore district. Earlier on February 11, terrorists attacked J&K police and the Border Security force through grenades in which claimed a police's life and leaving four injured. However, further details are awaited.

COVID-19: 12 Municipal Employees In Sopore Kashmir Test COVID-19 Positive

Amid rise in COVID-19 cases and Omicron concern, 12 employees of Municipal Council in Kashmir's Sopore have tested positive, following which they have been asked to self-isolate. Officials said that the preventive measures were being taken by the authorities even as rest of the employees have been asked to go for testing. Notably, 184 persons were tested positive for COVID-19 in the last 48 hours in Sopore town of Kashmir.

Photos Of Army Troops Carrying Woman, Baby On Stretcher In Snow Go Viral

Pictures of the Indian Army helping a woman and her newborn reach home in heavy snowfall in Sopore has gone viral. The army personnel carried the mother and her newborn from the hospital in Pazalpora to her home in Duniwar on a stretcher. The soldiers carried them for over 3.5 km in knee-deep snow as the roads were choked after heavy snowfall. The picture has been shared and applauded widely on the social media.

J&K: One Soldier Injured After Millitants Attack Security Forces

On August 12, militants attacked security forces in Jammu & Kashmir's Sopore area. As per reports, a couple of rounds of fire were shot at the Central Reserve Police Force (CRPF) and Jammu and Kashmir Police at Hygam area in Baramulla district. No casualties were reported. However, "one army jawan has sustained injures and is being treated," said a senior police officer.
