Subramanian Swamy called for dismissal of the Kerala Government, over killing of BJP leader in the state. On December 19, he urged Union Home Minister Amit Shah, stating that the LDF government failed to maintain law and order. He then called those who 'butchered' Ranjith Sreenivasan (the BJP leader), as 'terrorists'. Swamy also asked for a ban of Popular Front of India, the ideological arm of SDPI.
