A group of masked Shiv Sena activists on September 11 attacked a retired Navy officer, Madan Sharma(65), for sharing a satirical cartoon on Maharashtra CM. Sharma suffered wounds in his eyes and face. "I’d just forwarded the cartoon to society’s WhatsApp group, later was attacked in front of building after receiving a call from Kamlesh Kadam," Sharma's FIR read. Later, police arrested 6 people including Sena shakha leader Kamlesh Kadam.

Producers Guild of India on September 4 condemned the "relentless attacks" on entertainment industry following Sushant Singh Rajput’s death. It said it has entertained millions of people, and was an "important source of soft power". About nepotism, it said that one can "definitely" get benefits of "being born into the industry", but it was up to each individual's talent to survive. Various stars from the industry supported the statement.

Soon after the Narcotics Control Bureau (NCB) decided to probe the drug angle in Sushant Singh Rajput's death case, many drug peddlers in Mumbai have gone underground. The NCB is now inspecting the alleged rave parties in Bollywood. An official from NCB has stated that, based on the data from informants, Mumbai has over 400 drug peddlers. The drug angle in Sushant's case had surfaced during the Enforcement Directorate's investigation.

Nawazuddin Siddiqui finally opened up about Sushant Singh Rajput's death and said, he is still digesting Sushant's death. He applauded Sushant's script choices and also praised his decision of signing films like Detective Byomkesh Bakshi and Sonchiriya, while calling him a true artist. He said, "I could feel his positive vibes every time we met. He was so full of life and ideas". 

Late Actor Sushant Singh Rajput's Sister Shweta Singh Kriti thanked all the "warriors" in Sushant's case on Twitter and asked everyone to stay strong and to keep fighting. Actor Kangana Ranaut replied to Shweta on Twitter, thanking her for dismissing all the rumors regarding the actress. Previously, Sushant's family lawyer Vikas Singh had accused Kangana of trying to fulfill her own agenda.
