US-based mobile app watcher Sensor Tower's report has suggested that ‘Telegram’ became the most downloaded non-gaming app globally in January 2021. Contact Details Of 533 Mn FB Users On Sale Via Telegram Bot: Report
Going by the report in Vice Media’s Motherboard, phone numbers of over 533 million Facebook users are up for sale by a Telegram bot. Security researcher Alon Gal highlighted the problem and stated that the bot contained information of different users belonging to the US, Canada, the UK, and 16 other countries. Telegram Gets Video Call Feature on its 7th Anniversary
Telegram, a cloud-based mobile and desktop instant messaging app, celebrated its seventh anniversary on August 14. On account of their seventh anniversary, Telegram appended a video call feature. The feature being end-to-end encrypted, provides a secured transmission of data. The feature also supports picture-in-picture mode. The video call feature is available in the Alpha version for both Android and iOS users.

Telegram Introduces End-to-End Encrypted Video Call
WhatsApp's closest rival Telegram announced on August 14 that it is launching a video call functionality in all its desktop and mobile apps. The feature is currently only available in alpha mode, on both android and iOS version of the app. "Like all other video content on Telegram, video calls support picture-in-picture mode, allowing you to scroll through chats and multitask while maintaining eye contact", the company said.
