Kerala Police Arrest Truck Driver In Hit-And-Run Case Of Journalist

Kerala Police have detained a truck driver suspected for killing a TV journalist in a hit and run case. The deceased SV Pradeep, who has worked for Manorama News and News18 was hit by a truck on December 14 while driving his two-wheeler in Thiruvananthapuram. Earlier, the deceased's family has raised suspicion over foul play as Pradeep had reported a series on gold smuggling and other reports alleging several politicians.

A man in Kerala's Kannur has been diagnosed with rare Malaria after he flew back from Sub-Saharan African country Sudan. Reportedly, he has been infected with Plasmodium Ovale. Kerala Imposes Section 144 In Thiruvananthapuram Amid COVID-19 Scare

The Kerala government has imposed CrPC Section 144 in its capital, Thiruvananthapuram. The decision was taken owing to the rise in COVID-19 cases. District Collector informed that the order will be in place from 9 AM on October 3 to midnight of October 31. The order prohibits gathering of more than five people at public spaces. However, exams that were announced before October 2 will take place with COVID-19 protocols.
