The ideal time to visit here is morning as the flowers get wilt during noon. However, the natural phenomenon will be vanished by mid-October.

Night Viewing Of Taj Mahal Set To Open For Public

The tourism department of Agra has decided to open the Taj Mahal for viewing during the night under moonlight from August 21, following over one year. However, only 50 tourists will be allowed in each slot starting from 8:30 to 9, 9-9:30, and 9:30-10 pm. The monument will only open for five days, however, will be shut on Friday.

Multiple Landslides In Himachal; 9 Tourists Killed, 3 Injured

Nine tourists were killed and several others injured after massive boulders hit a bridge and cars during a landslide in Himachal Pradesh's Sangla valley. CM Jairam Thakur offered condolences to the families of those killed in the incident. He tweeted, "I spoke to the Kinnaur district administration and inquired about the accident. The administration has started rescue operations at the spot and immediate relief is being provided there."

Goa Mandates COVID Negative Report, Vaccination Proof For Tourists

Goa CM Pramod Sawant on May 7 announced that tourists entering the state will now have to mandatorily produce valid RT-PCR negative test reports or proof of vaccination. The measure, which followed the Bombay High Court's observation that Goa is not serious about restrictions, will be enforced from next week. Earlier, the HC had said it was "not justified" for the government to refrain from restrictions citing tourism.

Malta To Give Cash Rewards To Foreign Visitors For Reviving Tourism

Mediterranean country Malta has announced to pay $238.10 (Rs 3400) to each tourist, if S/he chooses to stay in the country for a minimum period of three days. Aimed at reviving the tourism industry, the announcement is expected to benefit about 35,000 visitors. Reportedly, all the foreign tourists will be entitled to the uniform cash reward. Notably, the tourism industry contributes 27% to the country's economy.

Kashmir Clocked Higher Tourist Bookings During The Covid-19 Pandemic

Despite Covid-19, the Kashmir Valley clocked high tourist bookings as compared to previous years. While Kashmir was one of the earliest destinations to reopen amidst the pandemic, the hotels have recorded 70% of booking till June. Notably, the footfall in Jammu and Kashmir rose from 3,700 in January 2020 to 19,000 in January 2021, revealed Tourism Minister Prahlad Singh Patel.
