UK Military Personnel On Standby To Help Ease Fuel Crisis
Britain has put its army on standby to deliver fuel, on September 28, after an acute shortage of truckers triggered panic buying that left fuel pumps dry across the country. Business Secretary Kwasi Kwarteng said, "If required, the deployment of military personnel will provide the supply chain with additional capacity as a temporary measure to help ease pressures caused by spikes in localised demand for fuel."

Booster Dose Not Required For Fully Vaccinated People: Dame Sarah Gilbert
Amid the UK government is planning to inoculate booster shots to citizens, professor Dame Sarah Gilbert, one of the creators of AstraZeneca or Covishied vaccine, has said the shots aren't required for all the fully vaccinated people. The booster dose should be given to those who've weak immunity systems and senior citizens, Gilbert advised. The government should supply vaccines to poor countries to increase vaccination rates, she added.

Evacuation Mission In Afghanistan Completed: UK Defence Ministry
Following France, the UK Ministry of Defence has confirmed the completion of its evacuation mission in Afghanistan from the Kabul airport on August 29. UK Airlifted Over 11,000 People From Afghanistan
Over 11,000 people have been evacuated from Taliban-captured Afghanistan by the United Kingdom. The evacuation process will continue for now and no fixed date has been fixed for the end of evacuation flights. However, UK Foreign Minister Dominic Raab previously notified that the evacuation of the people will continue till the end of August. “More than 1,000 UK Armed Forces personnel deployed in Kabul,” said UK’s Defence Ministry.
