Rajasthan Issues Bird Flu Alert Amidst Mysterious Bird Deaths
After deaths of about 300 crows, 50 peacocks, and 60 hens, the Rajasthan’s wildlife department has issued a bird flu alert in the state. Chief wildlife warden Mohanlal Meena has directed the wildlife officers to inspect the wetlands, as several migratory birds migrated during the winter season. While the samples of dead avian have been sent to labs, the wildlife division has asked to keep a vigil on animal habitats.
