Manipur Violence Incident: Police Arrested Mastermind Accused
After the social media outage, the Manipur Police on July 20, arrested one of the main accused who was seen in a May 4 video of two tribal women being paraded naked and molested by a mob at a village in Senapati district. The action against the gruesome incident was taken two months after the incident. They said several police teams were formed immediately and nabbed the accused.

PM Narendra Modi finally broke his silence and issued an official statement in the recently viral gone video of the assault against the women. On July 20, PM Modi condemned the assault and said, "I assure the nation, no guilty will be spared. The law will take its course with all its might. What has happened to the daughters of Manipur can never be forgiven."
