Bihar CM Nitish Kumar Hikes Reservation To 65%
In Bihar, CM Nitish Kumar announced a hike in reservations to 65%. The announcement was made on November 7, and the proposed hike will be tabled in the Assembly on November 9. The hike is divided into 10% reservations for the Economic Weaker Section, 20% for SCs, 2% for STs, 18% for OBCs, and 25% for EBCs. The reservation limit is above the approved 50% limit by the Supreme Court.

SC Orders On Firecracker Ban In Delhi's Neighbouring Rajasthan
Concerned about the rising pollution in Delhi, Mumbai and Haryana, the Supreme Court on November 7, said that its directives against the use of banned chemicals in firecrackers applied to all states and not just Delhi and its neighboring areas. The top court's clarification came during a hearing on an application seeking to direct Rajasthan to implement the court's order banning certian firecrackers and reducing air and noise pollution.

Once Growing Startup, WeWork Is Now On Verge Of Bankruptcy
WeWork, the SoftBank Group-backed startup whose meteoric rise and fall reshaped the office sector globally, sought U.S. bankruptcy protection. Notably, bets on companies using more of its office-sharing space soured. SC Orders Punjab & Haryana To Stop Stubble Burning Amid Pollution
The Supreme Court in its order has directed that the state governments of Punjab, Haryana, Rajasthan, Uttar Pradesh and Delhi to ensure that crop burning is stopped, for which a meeting will be convened tomorrow. It also added that the local Station House Officer (SHO) will be responsible for it under the overall supervision of the Chief Secretary. The decisiion after the Delhi AQI worsened.
