Zomato has come forward to bear the medical cost of Bangalore-based Hitesha Chandranee, who had earlier accused the delivery executive of physical assault. Additionally, the company will also pay the legal charges of the accused Kamaraj, who has firmly denied the charges. Zomato Co-founder Deepinder Goyal stated, “Our topmost priority has been to get to the truth". While Kamaraj was one of the highest-rated executives on the app, Zomato has temporarily suspended him.
