Japan: Native Mongolians Protest against China's Mandarin Imposition
On September 5, around 20 native Mongolians protested against the imposition of Mandarin in the inner Mongolian region at the Chinese Embassy in Tokyo. They showed their support to the protests happening in Mongolia. The protest broke out after the Chinese Government forcefully imposed the Mandarin language in Northern China’s autonomous Mongolian region. Reportedly, the Mongolians fear the imposition as they feel that it is a move that would wipe-out their culture.
