India-UK Defense Partnership Discussed In PM Boris Johnson & PM Modi's Meeting
UK PM Boris Johnson and PM Narendra Modi held a meeting in Delhi, during Johnson's two-day India visit. On April 22, the duo discussed trade, security, and technology enhancement agreements and announced expanded India-UK defense partnership. They vowed to seal an ambitious free trade agreement by 2022-end. Furthermore, PM Boris said that UK will create an Open General Export Licence (OGEL) for India to "reduce bureaucracy and slashing delivery times".
