Yashvardhan Kumar Sinha Appointed As Chief Information Commissioner
Yashvardhan Kumar Sinha took oath as the Chief Information Commissioner (CIC) on November 7, at a ceremony held at Rashtrapati Bhavan. The oath was administered by President Ram Nath Kovind. Appointed after a two-month vacancy, Sinha will replace former CIC Bimal Julka and will have a three-year term as the CIC. The 62-year-old diplomat has served as India’s High Commissioner to the United Kingdom and Sri Lanka.
