Amazon Accused Of Bribing Govt Officials; Govt Claims 'Zero Tolerance Towards Corruption'
Amazon is under scrutiny for its legal representatives allegedly bribing Indian government officials on September 21. The government questioned Amazon for spending over Rs. 8500 crores in "legal fees" since 2019. The government also defended its stand through a "zero-tolerance policy" towards corruption. Modi government accused "Whole system working on bribes, which is not the best business practice". Amazon has reportedly launched an investigation against its officials.
