Barcelona FC Convinces Players, Staff For Wage Cut, To Save €122 million

Amid financial crisis caused by the COVID-19 pandemic, Barcelona players and coaching staff have agreed to a wage cut for the rest of the 2020-21 season, saving up to €122 million for the club. Similarly, variable payments of about €50 million have been shelved for three years. "The agreement, if it is ratified, will be a milestone of a great importance to redirect the current economic situation," stated the club.
