Delhi: Pollution Control Authorities Shut 2 Units Over Yamuna Frothing Issue
As a major crackdown on polluting factories, the Delhi Pollution Control Committee (DPCC) has shut down the operations of two plants, and has ordered closure of 15 others. The decision was taken after it was found that the plants were functioning without having effluent treatment facilities, due to which Yamuna river has suffered a severe frothing. Reportedly, a total of 21 plants were examined by the authorities.
