Delhi's Young And Energetic Brigade Preys Bangalore's Seasoned Eleven
Royal Challengers Bangalore’s overreliance on its top-order has fetched another blow on what could be called as a fairer performance if compared to other seasons. In the 19th encounter of IPL-13, RCB fell on face to spin-attack of Delhi Capitals in the powerplay, and lost crucial wickets of Padikkal, Finch and AB de Villiers for just 43 runs. Though Kohli tried to revive things with Moeen Ali, but his solitary 43 could not do much. After Kohli's departure, RCB collapsed at the score of 137 runs. Earlier, batting first, Delhi got a thrust in the beginning with Shaw's 42 runs, and a scintillating end by the all-rounder Stoinis's fiery 53. With this, DC logged a stiff total of 196 runs. Rishabh Pant's 37 runs also helped Capitals to reach above par score. However, Challenger's bowling line-up too failed miserably. Barring Siraj and Sundar, RCB bowlers failed to put a scar on Capitals. Consequently, RCB lost by 59 runs.
