ICMR Study Suggests Plasma Therapy Does Not Prevent COVID-19

According to a study by the Indian Council of Medical Research (ICMR), plasma therapy is not effective in reducing the mortality rate nor does it prevent COVID-19 from advancing to the next stage. The study, conducted during April 22-July 14,  reviewed health conditions of 464 participants from 39 tertiary care hospitals. Plasma therapy has received authorization for off-label use in India, and is being practiced in many other countries too.
