ISRO Invites Companies For Production Of Oxygen Concentrator SHWAAS

ISRO has welcomed industries for mass production of indigenously made oxygen concentrator named 'SHWAAS'. Built by Vikram Sarabhai Space Centre (VSSC), the prototype is capable of delivering over 95% enriched oxygen by the Pressure Swing Absorption method at 10LPM, which is sufficient for two patients. ISRO is also working on scaling up of liquid oxygen production and repurposing giant fuel tanks, along with developing medical technologies.
