Karnataka Opposition Calls 8-Day Assembly Session "A Namesake"
Karnataka opposition leader Siddaramaiah has requested the state assembly speaker to extend the session, saying eight days of monsoon session would not be enough to discuss all necessary matters. "Looks like the session is being held just for namesake,” he said. According to the State Legislature Act of 2005, the House should be in session for at least 60 days a year, that is not being adhered to, he added.
