Maharashtra Govt Forms Committee Amid Marathi Reservation Demands

Amid demands of Marathi organisation to restore reservation in education, the Eknath Shinde-Fadnavis led Maharashtra government set up a six-member cabinet sub-committee. Announced on September 20, the committee will be headed by the higher and technical education minister Chandrakant Patil, including revenue minister Radhakrishna Vikhe-Patil, rural development minister Girish Mahajan, ports minister Dada Bhuse, excise minister Shambhuraj Desai and industry minister Uday Samant. The committee will decide on reservation.
