MoEFCC Holds Meeting with States Adjoining Delhi to Discuss Stubble Burning
The Union Ministry of Environment, Forest and Climate Change (MoEFCC) met with the environment ministers from states adjoining Delhi, to discuss the stubble burning issue. The virtual meeting which was held on October 1 was attended by Delhi, Punjab, Rajasthan, Haryana, and Uttar Pradesh. Earlier, Delhi CM Arvind Kejriwal had written to the Ministry, suggesting the use of technology by ICAR- Indian Agricultural Research Institute to prevent stubble burning.
