Scania Admits Bribery For Indian Contracts; Indian Minister Involved
Investigations by news outlets have revealed that the Swedish automaker Scania's employees paid bribes to win bus contracts in seven Indian states during 2013-2016. Reportedly, the company had falsified truck models with fake chassis numbers and license plate and earned nearly $11.8 million by selling them to an Indian mining company. The investigative report by Swedish news channel SVT had revealed the involvement of an Indian Minister.
