Signal Takes Dig On WhatsApp Over Global Blackout; Welcomes New Users
After all Facebook-owned apps, including WhatsApp, encountered a 45-minute global blackout on March 19, the messaging service's leading rival 'Signal' capitalized on the opportunity to launch digs. Signal wittily wrote on Twitter “Registrations through the Roof…Welcome everyone”, beckoning users in this pretext. Reportedly, both WhatsApp and Signal have been embroiled in a cut-throat competition ever since the former announced privacy policy revisions, propelling users to flock towards the latter.
