Sunrisers Hyderabad Hands Kings XI Punjab A Crushing Defeat
Sunrisers Hyderabad came out all guns blazing and handed Kings XI Punjab a crushing defeat in the 22nd match of IPL-13. From the very 1st over, Sunrisers were in a complete dominating position. Batting first after winning the toss, Sunrisers got a desired start as the opening-duo of Jonny Bairstow (97 runs) and David Warner (52) marauded the Kings' bowler till 16th over. The duo put 160 runs on the scoreboard before Punjab's Ravi Bishnoi dismissed Warner. Interestingly, Warner was the first wicket for Punjab after giving 341 runs and bowling 32.5 overs since the match against Chennai Super Kings. Though Hyderabad lost the momentum after Warner's dismissal, it managed to score 201 runs. On the contrary, Punjab struggled from the beginning as they kept losing wickets. Except Nicholas Pooran (77 runs), Punjab's batsmen could not withstand before Hyderabad bowlers. Consequently, Hyderabad won the match by 69 runs as Punjab tumbled at 132 runs in 16.5 overs.
