2024 Elections

Telangana CM K Chandrashekar Rao met with Samajwadi Party (SP) National President Akhilesh Yadav, on July 3. The meeting was held at Pragati Bhavan, Hyderabad.  During the meeting, the duo discussed the strategy to form an alliance against the ruling Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) led Central Government. Furthermore, the duo also discussed the 2024 elections and the possibility to form an alliance, with like-minded parties.

Approximately 17 Opposition parties are set to meet in Patna today to chalk out a skeletal roadmap for the ambitious anti-BJP front ahead of the 2024 Lok Sabha elections. The meeting is scheduled from 11:00 A.M., to 3:30 P.M., followed by a joint press conference. Besides the strategy planning of the 2024 elections, the meeting will also discuss the Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) Ordinance and support from opposition. 

Ahead of the 2024 National elections, the opposition parties are making efforts and uniting against the ruling BJP. In a historic event of Indian politics, Congress leader Rahul Gandhi met with the Janata Dal United President and Bihar CM Nitish Kumar. During the meeting, the duo discussed the national politics and strategies to play united in the 2024 General polls, which will decide the next PM of India.

After rounds of talk and discussions, the Indian National Congress (INC) invited election strategist Prashant Kishor, but he has declined the offer. On April 26, Congress leader Randeep Surjewala tweeted, "Following a presentation & discussions with Sh. Prashant Kishor, Congress President has constituted an Empowered Action Group 2024 & invited him to join the party as part of the group with defined responsibility. He declined".
