Police Arrests 3 Youths For Alleged Rape Of 20 Year Old Girl: Uttar Pradesh

Three men, Lucky, Sanjay and Rajendra, in connection with the alleged rape of a 20-year-old girl at a factory in Ghaziabad, Uttar Pradesh, confirmed police on September 2. As per the victim's FIR, the accused allegedly called her on the pretext of overtime and raped her on August 28. Moreover, they threatened the victim with dire consequences if she disclosed her sexual abuse. An investigation into the matter is underway.

Jharkhand Child Welfare Committee Demands POCSO Act Against Accused: Dumka Incident

In Dumka incident of Jharkhand, the State Child Welfare Committee demanded the Protection of Children Against Sexual Offence (POCSO) act on the accused, a youth named Shah Rukh. The committee said, the girl who was burnt alive for rejecting love proposal was a minor, as per her documents of class X. Notably, in the police FIR, the girl was claimed to be an adult, hence only IPC sections were registered.

Devendra Fadnavis Asserts, 'Bilkis Bano Case Accused Released, But Wrong To Felicitate Them'

Maharashtra Deputy Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis on August 23 stated while the prisoners in the Bilkis Bano case were released following a Supreme Court judgment, it is improper if a person convicted of a crime is "felicitated." On August 15, the Gujarat government released the 11 life-sentenced prisoners. On August 23, SC consented to hear a plea challenging the remission given by the Gujarat government.

Delhi Court Condemns Accused After He Plead Guilty For Rioting In Northeast Delhi

Delhi court sentenced an accused after he pleaded guilty to rioting and other offenses in a case relating to the 2020 riots in northeast Delhi. The case is linked to disturbances at Gokulpuri police station. He was the first defendant convicted. On December 6, 2021, he was found guilty of setting fire to the home of a 73-year-old. The matter will now be heard in court on September 15.

Thane Man Arrested For Molesting Woman, Investigation Underway

In Maharashtra, Thane, a 43-year-old man has been arrested for molesting a woman on the school premises, confirmed local police. As per the complaint of the victim, the accused identified as Fiaz Lalmia Sayyed allegedly touched her inappropriately, when she was waiting to pick up her twin daughters and was waiting at the hallway.  A case under section 354 of the IPC has been registered with the police.

Delhi Police Arrests 2 People For ATM Fraud, Launches Investigation

The Delhi Police arrested two men for fraudulently exchanging ATM cards of people and withdrawing money from their bank accounts. The arrested accused Sajjan (23), a resident of Kanti Nagar, and Shadik (23) from Kabir Nagar, allegedly swaped ATM cards with a  couple at Mandoli Road ATM. The accused allegedly asked for the victim's card saying her transaction is not completed and swapped the card, following which fled.

Nashik Police Arrests 4 Accused In Afghan Saint Khwaja Sayyed Murder Case

The Nashik Rural police arrested all the four accused,Gaffar Ahmed Khan, driver Ravindra Tore, Ganesh Jihad and Pawan Are in connection with the murder of the Afghan Sufi saint, Khwaja Sayyed Zarif Chishti (35,) in Yeola. They allegedly murdered Chishti on July 5, to usurp his property, and were on run. However, on July 14, the Nashik Police arrested the accused and questioned them, during which they confessed.

In the murder investigation involving the deceased Punjabi musician Sidhu Moose Wala, a new identity has been revealed. According to a report, the guy has been recognized as Sandeep Kalo, a native of Gurdaspur, Punjab. Kalo has been charged for allegedly giving rifles and ammo to the gunmen who killed Moose Wala in Mansa in May of this year.

Former Japanese Prime Minister Shinzo Abe's Assassin, Tetsuya Yamagami, Arrested

Tetsuya Yamagami, a 41-year-old Nara City resident, has been confirmed as the suspect detained for shooting former Prime Minister Shinzo Abe on July 8. A gun was recovered by police. The offender did not attempt to flee when the cops were apprehending him. Until roughly 2005, Abe's assailant worked for the Maritime Self Defence Force. Yamagami informed the police that he had hatred toward Abe and wanted to kill him.
