West Bengal Artist Suman Chandra Wins CIMA Art Awards
The fourth CIMA Awards was announced on February 5, in which West Bengal artist Suman Chandra was declared the winner for his canvas titled 'Black Grave 2'. He received a trophy, Rs 5 lakh, and a solo show. Meanwhile, Sonal Varsheneya became the first runner-up for her work 'Kissa Goi'. "The art in CIMA Awards comes from the heart and soul of our country," said Rakhi Sarkar, CIMA Director.

Sand Artist Recreates Famous Episodes Of Ramayana
To make an extravagant celebration of Diwali, construction of Ram Temple is ongoing. However, recreation of Bharat Milap, Ram, Laxman and Sita was done by a sand artist. Furthermore, the artist stated that he chose this form of art as his parents could not afford art tools. "I have a dream of making the world's largest sand art," said the artist while having a talk with ANI.

Delhi Artist Makes Art From 250 Kgs Of Plastic To Raise Awareness
An Indian artist made an eccentric art from 250 kgs of plastic waste that he gathered from his neighborhood. Delhi's Manveer Singh, who specializes in transforming waste into works of art, sends out a strong message through his craft. "In 2018, I decided to use my plastic waste as colors in my art and simultaneously create awareness among people via door-to-door waste collection," he said.

Srinagar Assembles Workshop To Boost Art Of Calligraphy
Srinagar Smart City Limited has arranged a three-day workshop and an exhibition for basic calligraphy classes to embrace the art. Inspiring: 9-year-old Boy Without Limbs Creates Artworks With Mouth
What could be called as an inspiring incident, a 9-year-old Telangana boy, who had lost his hands and legs in an accident, is making beautiful paintings from his mouth. The boy, Madhu Kumar, hails from Medak district and had met the accident September last year. However, within six months of the accident, Madhu started creating artworks. He was guided to make sketches by wielding a paintbrush in his mouth by artist Dr Samudra Harsha.

Neha Singh Bags Guinness Record For Largest Painting Made With Spice
Neha Singh, a student of Vedic sciences at the Banaras Hindu University has made a Guinness World record for making the world's largest painting using expired spices and natural colours. A resident of Uttar Pradesh’s Ballia district, Neha made the 62.72 sq metres painting titled as ‘Moksh ka Vriksh’ - Tree of Salvation. The painting recognized by Guinness Records broke the earlier record of 588.56 sq feet.
